Since its foundation as a paint machinery manufacturing facility in 1985 to its first manufacturing plant in Taiwan in1991, Buckingham focused on creating quality lighting for the world market with special emphasis on exporting products to North America. During the 90s, the company continued to expand their product line to include track, spot and down lighting, as well as wall lamps. A patent for Marco recess lighting in Germany, China and the US underscored the company’s growing name recognition. Increasing product demand and rapid growth promoted a move to new facilities outside Shanghai, China in 1998.

Between 1998 and 2019, Buckingham expanded their footprint to meet industry trends in lighting products and services. A commitment to improve lead time and production efficiency, while addressing rapidly changing technology, saw Buckingham’s move to a SMART manufacturing system in 2022. Today, with a variety of full service in-house production capabilities, Buckingham offers customers specialized custom design and focuses on delivering superior lighting products and first class support.
